I am having the same problem – as are many others judging by review on Amazon. NIC worked fine for a few months, then one day it cannot be found in the Device Manager even though the Ethernet indicator is lit up on the back of the machine. It would be nice if a solution was posted here in the forum so we could work on a solution outside of Azulle business hours. Device purchased September 2016.

    Hello Mike,

Thank you for your post. We usually request to be contacted directly since we ask for some information that it can’t be publish here due its private content (name, email, order number, …). However we would be more than happy to provide the regular procedure to regain the Ethernet functionality:

First make sure that you are able to see the adapter in the Device Manager, in order to do that please click on the View menu and select “Show hidden devices
If you can see it, download and install the proper driver from our FTP.
    Restart the computer.

If you couldn’t see the adapter or the procedure above did not work, please reach out directly to us via phone 786 233 6769, webchat or by using our tech support email: support@azulletech.com

    Best regards

I know this is an old thread, but I’m having the same problem. The lights on the ethernet port are lit up but the ethernet adapter can not be found.

I was on the bios from August of 2016. The ethernet port worked out of the box after a couple of days of windows updates, it no longer showed up. The lights didn’t even light up on the back of the box. Tried showing hidden devices and uninstalled the ethernet adapter. It was never refound upon restart.

I updated to the new bios from the website. At least the lights on the ethernet port light up now, but still not ethernet adapter in device manager. I installed the asix driver from the support website, but still no adapter. I set the bios back to default. No luck.

    What else should I try.

Luis I have the same exact problem. Ethernet stopped working. I have updated the drives and BIOS. Ethernet light is on at the port, but not showing up in device manager.

Ok here’s a little update. I don’t know why it worked, it just did.

Uninstalled the AX88179_178A_Win10_8.x_v1.18.2.0_Drivers via windows control panel
Reinstalled using dpinst.exe file included in the 64bit driver folder
    shut down windows
un plugged the computer and the Ethernet cord
    let sit for 30 minutes.
    plugged everything back in
    Voila! Ethernet is now working

Might be coincidence, Who knows, but it works.
