Yes, it has both an HDMI and a VGA port. However, you will need to purchase an HDMI or VGA cable separately.
Can I download non app store applications?
Yes, you can download any Windows® 10 application on the Quantum Byte.
What SD card can be used?
Any Standard SD (up to 128GB) is supported by the Quantum Byte.
Does the Quantum Byte have Bluetooth?
Yes, the Byte has 4.0 Bluetooth technology.
What is included with the Quantum Byte?
The Quantum Byte comes with the unit, the power adapter, a quick start guide for set up, and a 1 year warranty against factory defects.
How do I reset my Quantum Byte?
Press the Windows Key and L to lock your screen. Hold Shift and click on the power icon on the bottom right corner of the screen. From there, you will be taken to a blue screen. Select “troubleshooting”. Proceed to “reset your PC.” Follow the prompt and the Quantum Byte will reset itself. Please refer to our video for detailed instructions on how to perform a reset:
Can I install Linux on it?

Can I add a WiFi card to increase signal performance?
No, but you can connect any USB WiFi adapter to the Quantum Byte.
Is the Byte available with a bigger hard dive?
At this time, we only have a 32GB model available.
Can Plex or Kodi/XBMC be installed on the Byte?
Yes, it has a Windows® 10 Operating System on it so you can use it just like any Windows® PC.
Is the Byte available with Windows® 10 Pro?
The Byte comes with the standard Windows® 10 OS, however, you can purchase the upgrade through Microsoft.
What is the power supply input and output?
The power supply has a 110v input with a 12v output.
How do I activate Windows®?
Troubleshooting Tip #1
There are two reasons for receiving that message. Your timezone may have been incorrect when you first attempted to activate your Quantum Byte. Click on the clock at the bottom right corner, and select “Change time and date settings.” From there, click “change time zone” and ensure you have the correct timezone. Also, make sure you have the correct time. Next, select the internet time tab and click on “change settings”. Change the server to “time.nist.gov” and restart the Quantum Byte. Go to your desktop. Right click the Windows® start button at the bottom left corner and select “system” in the context menu. Under “Windows Activation”, select “Activate Windows” and it should automatically update.
Troubleshooting Tip #2
Power off your Quantum Byte completely. Turn it on and click and hold “delete”. Under “system date” change it to the exact time and date that you have right now. Restart the Quantum Byte. Go to your desktop. Right click the Windows® start button at the bottom left corner and select “system” in the context menu. Under “Windows Activation”, select “Activate Windows” and it should automatically update.
What kind of drive does the Byte have? SSD or eMMc?
The Quantum Byte has an eMMc drive.
What is the cold boot time?
Approximately 5-7 seconds.
Can the Quantum Byte run Windows® XP programs?
It can, however there may be compatibility issues with programs that are not optimized for Windows® 10.
Are the USB ports powered?
Yes, all three USB ports on the Quantum Byte are powered.
How can I speed up the Quantum Byte?

Unfortunately, additional RAM cannot be added to the Quantum Byte.

Can the tablet be charged through a cigarette lighter adapter?

I had problems installing Microsoft Office (It got stuck at 80%, etc.)
An installation can get stuck for many reasons. The most common reason is the tablet falling asleep during the installation and losing its connection to WiFi.

How do I reset my tablet?
Go to your lock screen (Windows Key & L). At the lock screen hold down shift, and click on the power button on the bottom right corner and select restart, while continuing to hold shift. We have a step-by-step video:

The Quantum View can take up to 128gbs of expandable memory.

I didn’t get a product key with my Quantum View.
You probably received the newer model of our Quantum View. If the last 4 digits of your serial number are under 1000, your Microsoft Office key came on an orange slip. If the last four digits of your serial number are above 1000, the tablet came with the Microsoft Office key built in. If you fall in the category over 1000, follow the below instructions.
When you are ready to install Microsoft Office, click the Microsoft Office button, which is located in the app menu. You can access the app menu by clicking on the Windows® button and scrolling up to reveal your apps. Once you are there, you will see an icon called “Microsoft Office.” Proceed to click on that icon. Once you click on it, a prompt will open up asking you to activate your installation. Once you click “activate”, you will be taken to Office.com. On Office.com, you’ll be presented with the option of logging in to your Microsoft account. From there, you will have the option to set up your country/region as well as language. Click on “continue” and you will see your personal Office 365 page. Next, you will have the option to install Microsoft Office. Once you click “install”, an executable file will be downloaded. Run the executable and the installation will start. Once you start the download, the key will be tied to your Microsoft account. If you want to install Office on a desktop or phone, simply log in to Office.com from that device using the same Microsoft account you used on the Quantum View installation.
How do I get the keyboard to automatically pop up?
Press the Windows key + R
Type “services.msc” and press Enter
Scroll down to “Touch screen keyboard and handwriting panel”
You can either right click and “Stop” or you can double-click and change it from “Manual” start-up to either “Automatic” or “Disabled”.
What do I do if my tablet has a black screen and won’t turn on?
This is typically the result of a Microsoft Windows® update in the background. Hold the power button down for 25 to 30 seconds. This will turn the tablet off. Verify that it’s off by pressing the Windows® Button on the tablet. There should be no vibration. Proceed to power on the Quantum View. You will then see a Quantum Suppliers logo, and the computer will proceed to finish the Windows® update process. If it “restarts”, “shuts down”, or “falls asleep” frequently, you can change your updates to update manually instead of automatically in “change PC settings”.
Start by going to the charm bar by swiping on the right and accessing PC settings. From there, go to “update and recovery” at the bottom. Afterwards, you will be on the Windows® update section. Next, select “choose how updates get installed.” Under important updates, click the drop down box and select “download updates but let me choose whether to install them” or “check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them”.
The status of my battery is not changing.
Troubleshooting Method 1
Manually apply a Windows Update. Go to “PC settings”. You can access “PC settings” by clicking the Windows button and “I” From there, go to “change PC settings”. Navigate to “update and recovery.” Go to “windows update.” Select “check for updates” and see if any updates need to get installed.
Troubleshooting Method 2
First, perform a search. You can pull up a search using one of the following methods. Drag the mouse to the right side of the screen causing the charms bar to pop up and click search. You can click the windows button and “I” at the same time. Or you can swipe the right side of the screen and access the charms bar and click search. Once the search dialog opens up, perform a search for “power options.” From there, click “change plan settings”. Proceed to “change advanced power settings.” Once you click on “change advanced power settings”, go to the area called “battery.” Under “low battery level”, change the percentage to 10%. Next, change “critical battery level” to 6%. Finally, change “reserve level” to 4%.
Next, access the search bar and perform a search for “troubleshooting.” Open the first troubleshooting result, which should have a blue monitor next to it. Once you open it, a window called “troubleshooting” will open. From there, select “improve power usage” under the last category called “System and Security”. The dialog will look for any problems.
Troubleshooting Method 3
Lastly, cycle the battery. Let it fall to 5% or let it die completely and charge it for 2.5 to 3 hours.
Does the Quantum View have a U.K. Keyboard?
Unfortunately, there is only one version of the Quantum View keyboard, which uses an American layout. However, you can have the keys mapped for a U.K. layout.
